Our friends from Chiddingstone presented us an interesting work about two artists:

L.S. Lowry, an English modernist painter, and Banksy, an anonymous England-based street artist, political activist...

After their visit we worked in the English class more about both of them.

WELCOME AGAIN !

Today year 5&6 have celebrated  Jocs Florals in the theatre with our friends from Chiddingstone.

We have learned about two important artists:

Lowry, an English artist who was born in 1887. He is famous for painting scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th century.

Banksy, perhaps the most mysterious and subversive artist alive. He is a street artist, famous all over the world.

Afterwards, year 5 and Chiddingstone students have been playing games to have fun together.

Using English in a real context.

It has been great ! An amazing morning at school.

Having fun!

We have closed the term with fashion parades in the English class. We have been talking about outfits, learning more about cloth materials and having fun with our presentantions and costumes for the occasion.

FASHION THROUGH THE AGES
CREATING OUR ADVERTS  (6è)

We've begun a new unit called "Fashion through the ages". We are learning about garments, materials and countries where these garments are made.
During two days we have become designers creating our own adverts, with the logo and the slogan.
